Sow & Grow Autumn Workshop

Spend the morning here amongst the flowers, learning the basics of sowing seeds, chatting about flowers and asking lots of questions!
This workshop is aimed at keen gardeners who want to learn how to germinate seeds and grow flowers. No experience necessary just a willingness to learn and a have a go.

Workshop will be approx 1-1.5hrs long, you will be outside the entire time and undercover when sowing seeds. Start time will be 10.30am

What you will get
A relaxing morning in my garden surrounded by flowers, bees, butterflies and like-minded flower-lovers with lots of flower and gardening chat, and a chance to ask as many questions as you like.
Take a walk around my picking garden to see what, and how I grow cut-flowers (just ignore the weedy, over-grown bits!)
Lots of information about seed-sowing techniques as well as the difference between annuals & hardy annuals.
Hands on experience of sowing seeds and potting on seedlings 
You will sow 3 (minimum) different varieties of flower seeds* to grow on, and plant out at home (in your garden-beds or in pots) plus a tin of our Bee & Bloom seed scatter mix to take away
*Please note these will be hardy annuals - sown in autumn, planted out, then grown over winter to flower in spring

What to bring:
Sunhat / waterproof jacket depending on the weather
Gloves - if you dont want to touch soil with bare hands
A box to transport your freshly sown seeds in
A willingness to learn, ask questions and have fun!

My aim is to educate people in a relaxed and peaceful environment, forget the stress and business of our everyday lives and come and do something for yourself whilst learning a new skill. I am based in Paraparaumu Beach, my location details will be emailed to you after booking.
